Marketing Director

VIP Petcare is a fast paced, innovative company looking for honest, professional team members who have a passion for pets and the people who love them. We provide a wide variety of preventative pet care services through our community clinics.

The Marketing Director is responsible for managing lead generation and marketing outbound efforts across all channels, including email, social, ecommerce, advertising, partner marketing and public relations.  Specific responsibilities include project leadership for cross channel campaign management, marketing automation systems, lead generation efforts, national advertising, cause marketing and copy/content creation.


Essential Functions: 

  • Manage Sr.  Marketing Manager and Marketing Coordinator.
  • Create and manage outbound lead gen campaigns with pet retail and pharmaceutical partners to drive traffic and increase revenue.
  • Supervise creation and management of marketing promotional and editorial calendars.
  • Oversee co-op program by working directly with accounting department to ensure invoices are paid, and store partners to ensure advertisements meet guidelines.
  • Partner with the CMO on strategic relationships with NBC, CBS, Media agencies, and more.
  • Manage lead generation projects, including selecting target audiences, and building offers and campaigns to promote.
  • Manage all ecommerce marketing, including integration with platform vendor schedules and campaigns.
  • Supervise organization and distribution of vouchers and miscellaneous campaign materials for nationwide campaigns and special offers.
  • Manage ongoing reporting on all campaigns, creating a monthly report of efficacy of marketing efforts.
  • Supervise customer marketing campaigns including newsletters, clinic schedule changes, announcement of special offers, etc.
  • Organize partner calls by creating an agenda, meeting minutes and following up with necessary deliverables.
  • Supervise management of marketing automation system
  • Create and implement newsletters for customers, partners and employees.
  • Manage marketing database and audience segmentation.
  • Create copy for campaigns, including email, mailing, social media and web channels.
  • Manage content for corporate website and blog.
  • Drive advertising and cause marketing efforts to increase market awareness and drive clinic revenue.
  • Manage Public Relations efforts, including writing press releases, tracking media hits and working RMMs to pitch and sell stories.
  • Create and manage ongoing reports (weekly and/or monthly frequency) measuring efficacy of campaigns and web traffic, social engagement, etc.
  • Other Job duties as assigned.

  • Google Analytics


Education and Training:

  • 10-12 years marketing experience
  • B2C Marketing experience
  • Prior experience implementing marketing automation systems
  • Management experience required
  • College degree

Environment and Physical:

  • Must be able to travel 30% of the time

  • Work for prolonged periods of time at a desk utilizing a computer


Reporting Structure:

  • Report directly to the Chief Marketing Officer
